A degree in psychology provides training in the science of psychology, experimental design, statistics, critical thinking, as well as strong writing and interpersonal skills.  Majoring in psychology will help you to learn more about the emotions, motivations, and behaviors of others, as well as yourself. Additionally, a bachelor’s degree in psychology will prepare you for a variety of careers and for graduate education. How to Get Involved in Research
Are you interested in becoming a research assistant in a faculty lab?

This valuable experience may provide you with practice in entering data, running participants, analyzing results, helping to prepare manuscripts, and going to conferences to present data. In addition, with hard work you can receive a faculty reference letter that you may use in applying to graduate school or a future career.
